Three Valleys

Three Valleys

Exeter, Devon, England

Overview

Three Valleys is a traditional, hospitality-led shoot where camaraderie and enjoyment sit at the heart of the experience. The estate primarily focuses on driven pheasant, with a scattering of partridge, and also offers duck shooting upon request. Days are carefully structured to suit all levels of shooting ability, ensuring an enjoyable yet rewarding challenge for every gun. With a strong emphasis on hosting and atmosphere, Three Valleys is designed to deliver not just quality sport, but a memorable and social day in the field from start to finish.

A Day In The Field

Guests are welcomed at the shoot lodge on arrival with coffee and a warm introduction from the hosts before heading out to their designated pegs. The day typically begins with morning drives across the estate’s valleys and woodland strips, making full use of the natural topography to present varied and sporting birds. After the initial drives, there is a short break for refreshments before continuing into the main part of the day. Mid-morning, the shoot pauses for elevenses out in the field, offering a relaxed moment to enjoy refreshments and the scenery. One or two further drives follow before the day concludes back at the lodge, where guests are welcomed in for a well-earned three-course meal. Dinner includes a main course, dessert, and cheeseboard, shared with the wider shoot party in a warm and social setting. Throughout the day, the ground is carefully managed to ensure a balanced and enjoyable experience, with drives tailored to accommodate all skill levels while maintaining consistent, high-quality sport.

About The Area

Located in East Devon, around 20 miles from Exeter, Three Valleys sits within some of the most picturesque rolling countryside in the South West. The estate spans approximately 3,500 acres of varied terrain, combining open valleys, woodland belts, and cover crop fields that create both natural beauty and exceptional driven shooting ground. This is classic Devon countryside — green, undulating, and full of character — with a landscape that lends itself perfectly to traditional game shooting. Rivers weave through the valley bottoms, adding further depth and atmosphere to an already striking setting.
